Looks good! Reminds me of Valerie Bertinelli's Cafe Americain, a show I wanted to go on longer.

Another review. This is closer to my take. Maybe would have been more appealing in anotger time.

This review misguidedly focuses on the current circumstances (I would bet the show was written and filmed before the pandemic broke out), when in fact there is a lot wrong with it regardless of Trump and the various current crises. The cliche plot, the tired jokes, the extremely formulaic development - THAT is what makes the show unwatchable AND inopportune in these times of so much quality content.

Anyway, I still don't understand how the show has an IMDb rating of 7.5 - based on the first episode I would have thought it's under 5.

Ted Lasso is another recent show with a similar formula. They are both bad. Frankly embarrassing by today's standards.

I agree, this is never a 7.5 rated show. Apart from every cliche under the sun when you boiled it down it didn’t amount to much. Emily as beautiful as she is shouldn’t be having sex with just about every bloke she meets. She’ll get called a Trollop If she’s not careful.
Nice to look at but that’s about it.
