What did I just watch?
Seriously this is very overrated and doesn’t make much sense
shareBut neither did Us or Get Out. All three movies make no logical sense and actually, if you do follow the logic, counteract their own supposed message, but supposedly they make emotional sense. The producers of this movie twisted bald historical facts, like BLM does; this is a victim’s fantasy world where all cops are the devil, the white devil.
I think it’s a case of too many writers because there is no story here. It’s bits and pieces of different stories. They didn’t add to Candyman’s lore, they shat on it. I would have preferred Tony Todd coming back in a good story than this.
