Well, duh.
Throw in Gone Girl and Good Wil Hunting and I'd say those are all of his great films.
He's definitely capable of a solid role, but I haven't even been blown away by any performances of his. I don't see it happening either.
I can't even blame him for Gigli. That script would have made Daniel Day-Lewis look like Rob Schneider.
Again, method. He even got plastic surgery to make him look like Pat Stew.
