I'm a female U.S. citizen who married a Canadian and I have been living in Canada for 21 years. The women here think he's totally hot. I don't see it.... (shrugging shoulders) I admit I didn't pick up on it. I figured going into it that Henry would turn out to be some kind of expert gunslinger, but I didn't know enough about Billy The Kid to recognize the name McCarty. I've been saying this for years. Now days everyone has to look like Brad Pitt, but it used to be that most actors and actresses on tv and in the movies were just ordinary looking. Think back to shows like Bewitched, the men who played Darren's coworkers at his office were old white men who looked nothing like Don Draper. Some of the most popular actors and actresses were pretty ordinary looking, some of them not that attractive at all (think Wally Cox and Don Knotts). Walter Matheau, in my opinion, was nothing to write home about in the looks department, yet he was often cast in romantic leading roles in the 60s and 70s. I feel that way about Mel Gibson and Lethal Weapon since it's come to light in recent years that he's a jerk in real life. I don't get what you're talking about? This movie is from 1968, Joaquin Phoenix wasn't born until 1974. I agree, I found it a little boring. SPOILER: although, I did find the final few moments where they closed their eyes and pretended that they actually had ran away together kind of touching. I did a Google search and there are a couple of different bulk candy shops online that sell generic round chocolates in purple wrappers. When she brought groceries home at the beginning of the movie there was a container of the chocolates in the Kroger bag. I just finished watching this a few minutes ago and I have to say I'm confused about whether Caleb was real or not. It seemed like he was, but I found some of this movie hard to follow because she had so many hallucinations. The father annoyed me, I thought he was kind of an azz hole. lol. I think they mean that they didn't realize this movie has been released, and the same thing happened to them a few years ago when Tomb Raider was released without their knowledge, but they didn't word it properly. I'm cracking up over here. Back in the day when this movie was out, I always thought a prequel would have been good with the whole story about how Warlock killed Redferne's wife. Funny, when I saw the title for this thread, I thought it was going to be about Richard E. Grant's hair. That horrible perm and mullet that was, unfortunately, the style back then. I was a young adult in the 80s and we all used to get those perms to give us the "big hair". I look back at pictures now and see how fried my hair was. Bill Nighy did such a great job with the part. Just the right comical touch blended with the serious. I loved it when Emma was pouring out her heart to him after Knightley chewed her out. He didn't know what to say to her to make it better but he just stood there in silent support. So many references were made to Mary being so beautiful, but I never found the actress to be especially attractive. I think Laura Carmichael is beautiful. I really liked her in The Spanish Princess. I thought she gave the character of Maggie a quiet beauty and grace. It was clear from the beginning that Melanie was attracted to her. That's one of my three favorite scenes from the movie. The other two are when Aunt Betty confronts Dave and Ross for some of Woody's "winnings". Cracks me up when Dave tells his mom "Aunt Betty and her henchmen are asking for reparations". And the scene in the car after the boys steal the air compressor and Woody tells them that wasn't Ed Pegram's house. I miss the gaming websites from the late 90s, like the Microsoft zone where you could play cards and games and chat and flirt with people at the same time. And the yahoo! games and message boards. The good old days.... I didn't notice it so much in episode two, so maybe in the first episode she was still trying to hit her stride with it. my thought exactly
