Not perfect, but much, much better than what we got. In fact, had this been made, it might have been the best out of the 3.

Luke and Leia handled reasonably well.
I get that they had to make changes due to Carrie Fischer passing away, but why they didn't stick with the major parts of this script and just altar the Leia stuff....they could have actually made this.
Starting from scratch with Rise of Skywalker did them no favours....movie is easily the worst of all 9 movies.
That would have been a good idea and actually gave Finn a purpose in the plot, but whoever was writing these movies were not so clever.

My problem with the show mainly came from how goofy/cheesy it got in the later seasons when they kept bringing in more comic book characters and I hated The Green Arrow and he had so much screen time....it made some seasons painful to watch.
Yes, it will be better. Maybe not mind blowing or anything, but it has to be better than that terrible garbage movie we got.
I remember that season.....I was very disappointed. Season 1 and 2 were near perfect. Then season 3 become a slow, pretentious slog.
I get the show always had artsy shots, but did we really need all that snail imagery? Lol

I watched the first 4 seasons not too long ago. i was really surprised and enjoyed the first season and to an extant I did enjoy watching the other seasons.
That being said....I do wish the show remained more realistic instead of just delving into pretty much a cartoon.
I mean, the movie is pretty overrated in my opinion. It's not particularly great, at best I think it's just fine.
There's no Batman or superhero stuff in it, so what your friend said is true in that regard.
I would say check it out if you're interested, just don't buy into the hype.

She's probably jumping ship to save her career. Why remain on a show you know is universally hated on?
Sounds like a pretty good idea. I have no idea why with this being the 6th film in a already tired formula that they didn't change things up a bit while also keeping it simple. Having someone from the future come back to stop judgement day, rather than just to protect someone would be a nice change.
There's no need for a new model Terminator that pales to the T1000, a simple T800 hunting down the protagonist would be acceptable.
Terminator meets 12 monkeys would have been a pretty cool installment.
