I think it was inspired by the movie Knives Out, which came out late November 2019, a little over 4 months from when the video is dated. It's set in the mansion of a murder mystery author and he has a knife sculpture in one room that looks similar. Picture of the sculpture at the top of this article: https://www.salon.com/2019/11/27/knives-out-review-ana-de-armas-chris-evans/ Yeah, this was my issue. He's ruling over people he doesn't understand. He's an emotionless weirdo at this point after "dying in that cave" who doesn't want (and will have to deal with subjects and enemies who do want) and mostly lives in the past while as a king he'll need to be mindful of the present and future as well. While we're at it, Dr. Manhattan for President! Not to hate on the show. It just felt odd to me. Am I the only one who thought "Is that Tony Todd?" (of Candyman/Final Destination fame) I thought the same thing. They should have tried to intervene, even if unsuccessful. This is the same question I had. If she's mentally 200 years old, how is she so naive? Wouldn't she have figured out the place a long time ago? Wouldn't she have read some books in those 200 years? Talked to the patients? I feel like the movie's answer is "She's just really sheltered." Side note: This movie really made me miss the IMDb message boards. This is totally a discussion movie. I just joined Moviechat and this movie made me do it. View all replies >
