Ha! But what? The OP's claiming a woman wrote a "sexist" story about another woman's sexuality? Pathetic. "The book was written by a woman, but the screenplay was written by a man and the film was directed by a man." So what? Are you claiming they're sexist b/c they accurately presented a woman's story about a female sexual compulsive? Please. "I think." No, you don't. If you're dumb enough to make such a shallow prejudgment, then yeah, you should. You do know the movie is set in the 12th century, don't you? How progressive did you expect its attitudes toward women to be? ZZZZZZzzzzzz... "I believe had Getty not had such unbridaled enthousiasm [sic] he might have avoided permanent disaster," HUNH? Illiteracy aside, what are you trying to say? LOL! Not quite. Saw it today, and Plummer is brilliant, chilling. He was Scott's first choice for the role. He's enjoying high praise from the critics, has already been nominated for a Golden Globe and is a top contender for an Oscar nom. I'd say the movie's done pretty by him, wouldn't you? So glad to hear from the illiterate faction! A "black American" (sure) who claims those who condemn the rosy picture of slavery presented in GWTW are "racist"? You want to explain that? "Honest to everyone"? To Frank, Charles, Melanie - are you kidding? What film did you watch? I guess the OP avoids Hamlet & Oedipus Rex too. Moron Very surprised there aren't more posts on this board. Yes, O'Connor's performance is amazing. He completely internalized the character. There's not a false moment in his performance...or a moment when you're aware he's performing. Great work by him and his co-stars.
