I just wonder what the point of this being made? Was it a contractual obligation? They kind of buttoned it up with the new generation carrying the torch in the 3rd one IIRC. I haven't seen CGI done this bad in a good while.

Agreed. Also worth noting, the visuals were absolutely stunning. Made me want to book a trip after leaving the theater lol.
I think you're spot on with everything. If they omitted the CIA storyline I think this would've been perfect. Overall it just felt like it was unnecessary and a shoehorned callback to the original.

Growing up in the age before digital, nothing in this movie reminds me of the Barbie dolls. It's almost like they went out of their way to do so.
I'm willing to give almost anything a shot but no movie can escape boredom after a while. Age of Ultron put me to sleep.

Maybe but I didn't get any homo vibes. I think the directors wanted to convey him just being a crazed loon with possibly gender dissociation thrown into the mix.
This was my favorite super hero movie of the summer. Don't buy into the hate this film's getting. Yes, the CGI is shoddy at times but it doesn't take away from the overall movie. This isn't coming from a DC homer either.
It's definitely a political shit show. Also doesn't help that there seems to be bare-minimum maintenance too. Adopting features from say a Reddit to increase engagement would definitely liven this place up.

Yes and getting very annoying. It was worse for the Spider-Man movies because people despised the McGuire films by the 3rd and hated Garfield's movies in general but hey....bring em back for the sake of and poof all that goes away.

I'm on the side of them not surviving but this brings me back to the IMDB board days where there would be detailed threads dedicated to this sort of debate and how they did in fact get off the island. Good times...
