One of my all-time favorites. Even the so-so episodes are great, especially by today's standards. Fantasy Land. Look at that awful "Drew Carey Show". You think that guy could have gotten laid or been in a band at one time? No "star" wants to be a loser. Imagine Dick Van Dyke saying "No. Don't make me a family man. Make me a pathetic loser who writes for 'The Alan Brady Show', makes a great salary but goes home to his one room apartment every night and watches television". Or wrap your head around that frumpy Jim Belushi actually being married to someone like Courtney Thorne-Smith. I rather think not. I read that they wanted Groucho in the final scene, possibly delivering the film's last line. Maybe Groucho didn't think it was a big enough part? To me, if I rate "Gunsmoke" a 10, "Bonanza" gets a 9.5. Both excellent shows. "Change of Address" and "Nothing Ever Happens in Linvale". And count me among what appears to be the few who found "Hangover" to be very good. Although I wasn't enthralled with Tony Randall's performance, it was a good script. She? He? It? had three cards to play. The black card, the gay card and the female card. If we had a real president, this thing would still be in prison where it belongs Not my favorite. I guess they wanted a "comedy" episode to break the pattern. I give this a 5/10. Well, he DID always play the oily, sleazy guy. You never saw him as a priest or doctor. But he was a fine actor. The power of the liberal media and Democratic b.s. scaring the left into the mess they've put America in. Fault of CNN, Hillary and social media. Emhardt always gave an excellent performance. One of the underrated character actors of his time. View all replies >
