I didn't bother with the last 2 either. Having to endure the horrible, sneering Daisy Ridley in the first one was more than enough. The woman cannot act.

People get hit by trains all the time. Many of them think they have time to outrun them not realizing how fast trains are. They were on a very long bridge with nowhere to jump until the end. I can definitely see this scene playing out as it did. It actually has happened while a movie crew was filming a movie and a young woman on the set was killed.
Ace and his gang left and did not know the boys were not going to take the body. The fishing trip was their alibi for making a phone call to police to tell them they found the body. They no longer had this alibi and no reason to call the police. They weren't exactly the smartest bunch of thugs and not likely to call it in anyway. It makes sense.

The cop tells Clark he is going to go "retrieve the carcass". So most likely he already saw the dog's mangled body before he pulled Clark over. Maybe the carcass was in such a condition he was able to see a similarity to the dog he once had.

I watched this again tonight and I came here to post the same thing. I can't stand Val. He was incredibly selfish, ungrateful and disrespectful to his parents, Armand and Albert. They could have still made this movie without him being such an asshole.
I attended a free screening. Thank goodness I did not pay for a ticket. It was so boring. I'm not joking, I kept falling asleep and I do like Zendaya. But this was just a snooze-fest 😖😴
