Can we all agree the education system in America could be better?

Other countries outrank us in education. Shouldn't we examine that and take notes on how to improve it in America?

The Democrats are the one's who fuck up the Education System because it sure as hell never used to be this bad

it would be interesting to see a partisan breakdown of both teachers AND the department of Education. Not to mention Education deptartments in universities, where educators are trained.

All the knowledge that american kids need is to know not to work a lower class job. Most american kids are conscious that people who work lower class jobs are the sheep and their life is about avoiding becoming a sheep. The only american kids who are not conscious of their sheeple status are the kids who can feel real emotions including embarrassment. In the USA at least 90% of the kids ain't going to work a lower class job and that is all the knowledge that an american needs.

Whoever decided to try and teach math to young kids here in the US and explain it in the most convoluted way possible should be thrown into prison for 5 years. It should just be as simple as 1+1=2 or 5+4=9. You shouldn't go out of your way to explain those simple problems like that in the most nonsensical manner! The way math is taught now is so ridiculous and it's no wonder so many kids are failing at it.

Just that a week from last Sunday, my mom was reading the lesson for my 6 year old Nephew's math and because of how it was written, my mom didn't understand it, I didn't understand it, and my nephew didn't understand it. The problem is they try to explain exactly why 1+1 is 2 but in a way that doesn't make sense to the parents or the kids. And they want the kids to write down exactly why 1+1 is 2 to a 6 year old kid! It comes across like they are trying to make it more complex than it really is. It's stupid.

Exactly how complicated can the school system make 1 + 1 = 2?? How do they do it?? What is 1 trans + 1 trans =??

I'm not lying. They aren't good at teaching kids math anymore and try to make it more complex than it should be. And that is a fact whether you want to accept it or not.

I didn't even read all that. I can do basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division but all that highschool level math made no sense to me. Frankly you only need to know that complex stuff if you are a scientist.

But I am intrigued what exactly what was in that math class that's so baffling.
