It's been standard practice for years among the environazis to tamper with the temperature data sets. It used to be confined to scummy climate "scientists" like Michael Mann, but now NOAA and NASA have gone whole hog. They cool the past and warm the present in order to create the illusion of a substantial rise in temperatures. Every single adjustment they make reinforces the narrative of political class. Never do they warm the past or adjust present readings lower. Why, it's the damndest thing! You'd almost think that actual science means nothing to them.
Tony Heller does yeoman's work in cataloging these deceptive practices and has a wealth of resources that demonstrate climate hysteria has been around for much longer than the current AGW nonsense. There's nothing new under the sun.
