Who do gun-owning americans think they are going to fight?

I think they saw the hordes that the dems released on the cities before the 2020 election and thought those groups might move onto them after they've burned all their own shit down. Or perhaps it's the violent prisoners that have been shipped from the third world to be dumped in the streets here or the gangs, or all the drug addicts the dems have created who will do anything for their next fix. Those are just a few examples I've heard these folks mention.

Um, so you didn't see all the non-white people who own guns in America? You didn't see the Asians defending their homes in places like L.A. and Seattle during riots by sitting on the roofs with guns and sniping anyone who came near their shops? You've never seen a black person with a gun? You've never seen a Hispanic own weapons of any kind? Don't kid yourself.

And for the record, most white Americans are of Germanic descent, if you study the demographics of the US, and they make up the largest ethnic group in the country too.

Finally, it's about defending your home from anyone who dares come to hurt your family or take your stuff.

One reason we have a 2nd Amendment in the first place was to let the govt. know their place. There's a reason our govt. hasn't had a chance to turn totalitarian just yet; because they know that regular citizens (who outnumber the armed services as a whole) would turn on them with their guns if they outright tried to take over the US, constitution be damned. Our founding fathers were smart in that regard, particularly after the Redcoats took away regular citizens' guns and forced the colonists to house soldiers in their homes whether they wanted to or not.

LOL.. I can tell that you have never been in the Military. History full of examples of Military killing civilians. Its not just the USA either. Sheesh.

You dont need to fear "guns" they are just inanimate objects. If all these "Pro gunners" were sociopathic everyone would have already been dead a long time ago. Stop parroting talking points or running with narratives from divide and conquer advocates. If you are not one of "them" and are peasant level you are one of us. Research history... you want the populace to have Guns trust me. I dont care if you are right, left, up, or down. An armed populace is a good thing and although not the be all end all of solutions it does give average people a chance to defend themselves in certain scenarios. Not all but some.

Maybe think of it like taking a knife and a lighter on a camping trip. Or even a phone of some sort etc. etc. Being fearful of a firearm is kind of silly and a form of mental illness. It would be like fearing a wrench or a screwdriver. Just learn how to be responsible and not act on emotion (Like FEAR/ANGER) or impulse (Like Paranoia). If you do then someone else has to use THEIR firearm and nobody wants that. RELAX and take deep breaths.
