What's up with teenagers and selfies?
I just don't get it.So you look in the same time into a mirror, then you'll get a photo with you and the phone, not to mention they look up when they take the "shot"
shareSo I kind of understand the urgency to take selfies.
What I don't understand is who wants to look at them when they're made public! So tell me, who here likes to look at other people's selfies, and if so, why?

I have never understood selfies , myself and I guess I never will - people are just different and It would be a dull world if we weren't.
Oh , and by the way , in my experience is , it's not just teenagers.
And another one of my pet peeves is people constantly showing photos of food - what's up with that ???
Get off my lawn! And pull your pants up!
shareExactly! Damned kids these days. No respect!
shareAnd wear your hat the right way!
shareAND TURN DOWN THAT DAMNED MUSIC!
shareIF YOU CAN EVEN CALL THAT CRAP MUSIC!
shareAnd stop bragging to your stupid friends if you get to bang a hot teacher!
shareActually.... I wouldn't mind hearing about that. And where were all these over sexed crazy horny teachers when I was in school?
shareThey were still doing it, but the boys had more respect and kept it to themselves.
shareI was in love with my drama teacher in junior high. I got ZERO action from her.
shareMine was a psychology teacher, and also covered Russian History when that class was tried out. Just an infatuation. She was married to the football coach, lucky guy.
shareEven now, I work with a lot of teachers, and the ladies just being teachers is a turn on. Some guys like lady cops cause of the uniform, I like teachers. Lucky guy is right!

LOL and amen, Captain! And put down that damned phone you young whippersnapper!
:-)
Probably because you won't get a mirror flash with a selfie or a selfie stick (facepalm).
You do get ones that take mirror shots too though. Usually guys showing us their abs and only their abs since that's the only part of them worth photographing.
I think a lot of it is narcissism. In a selfie you are front and centre. I work at a Heritage tourist attraction, and I offer to take pictures of people all the time in front of some of the buildings, especially our old theatre. So often people say no as they want the picture to be about them, not their surroundings.
