I need y’all to help me. A few weeks ago we had a discussion about our rating systems and I made changes but now I am stuck with two rating systems and don’t know which one to use.

Question: which system do you think makes more sense between system 1 and 2?

System 1:
10: Masterpiece/ Favourite
9: "A" Awesome!
8: Very Good
7: Good
6: okay
5: Mediocre
4: Poor
3: Bad
2: Awful
1. Did not finish

System 2:
10: Perfect
9: Excellent
8: Great
7: Good
6: Average
5: Below average
4: Bad
3: very bad
2: Awful
1:Insulting

I don't like either but if forced to pick, I'd go with 2.

i would go system 1.

to me, a 5 would be a middling, average film. not recommendable, but not a waste of time if you like films in that style.

though i don't like having 1 as 'did not finish.' i personally probably wouldn't rate something if i didn't follow through and watch it to the end. i might write a really pissy review on letterboxd saying i thought it was unwatchable, but...i don't think i can really rate something without having it made it to the credits rolling.
