What's your biggest weakness?
Mine is anger.
share[deleted]
Seeriosly? U spel gud!
shareMy lack of strength is my biggest weakness.
HA!!!
Nice try buddy
I tell you my weakness and you file it away for future use against me!
And don't look at me like that, I know what you're up to, I know what you're ALL up to...
This isn't my first time at the High School dance pal
You're all out to get me, it's always been this way, but you and your fancy friends can't touch me
I'm cautious, See?!
'Hard to Get' is my middle name and sure, it's a bit long and I would have preferred something simple like Pat but we don't get to pick our middle names, do we? And stop fumbling around in your pockets when you're around me...that makes me nervous, like you're up to something
And stop telling everyone I'm paranoid, that's the last straw mister!
Post of the year.
shareRelax, man.
shareI'll relax when they shovel dirt on the big box that's waiting for me...that will be the goddamned day!
I don't believe we've met
Pleased to meet you johnny-boy
Take yourself less than seriously, spit out a few good jokes and feel at home👍
You have found yourself a fine place to be
Nice!
shareDoing anything in moderation; if I do something it's no holds barred.
shareThat's either totally awesome or very dangerous
Either way, cheers🥃🥃
I'm familiar with overdoing it. Just be careful.
shareYeah, I've had enough experiences where I've needed to learn caution, sometimes the hard way. I've no doubt it's a gut reaction to my disability; can't do this, can't do that; oh, I can do THIS? Full tilt boogie lol.
Life's a journey, the important thing is that I never stop learning from my experiences.
Nice
shareI like your attitude
Stop learning and you start dying...who wants that?
Eyes open and an ear to the ground is the best way
Be well jobiwan (fine handle btw)
My biggest weakness is my physicality. I've put my body through Hell and now that I'm older it's come back to haunt me. I'm not the workhorse, the mule I used to be. My biggest weakness mentally is a result of the damage I've done to my body - sometimes I like my substances maybe a little too much. In my defense, I deal with pain on a constant basis, pain I wouldn't wish on anyone, and I detox at least once a month just to prove I can.
That's probably more than you wanted to know... but you asked! ;)
Happy Veterans Day!!
I've been there, Cruz. Got to be careful I don't go overboard at my age. And don't let my daily aches and pains get the best of me.
shareDepression is one thing I have no trouble with, which is unusual in my family. Many of my doctors have trouble believing it. Surprisingly I drink and smoke less now than I ever have. However - as long as western medicine produces painrelievers I will be pain free.
I've been walking with a cane for 12 years on the 15th of this month. In January I'll be 55. Too damn young to feel this bad.
Sorry to hear it Cruz...
I've never shied away from heavy lifting and now I'm feeling the pain as well
The aches and pains can be a great big nuisance!
At the risk of sounding glib may I suggest doing stretches?
My very strong buddy at work suggested I do the stretches...I've been doing them for a few days now and wow, do I feel limber!
It's all a bit goofy and embarrassing but I'll tell you this much, a Body could use a good stretching and you can listen to music or watch a show while you are doing it
My wife and her girlfriend both do the Yoga which is very unmanly in my opinion...I've been attempting the Yoga but I'm only good at the 'downward Dog' entry level poses:/
I probably look like an idiot as well but here we are anyway
Try to stretch it out man, it might help those aches and tight spots, the mind is another matter
Just figure you are right on and the world will tend to follow
Thanks I appreciate that. Almost any activity aggravates my back injury (ruptured disc between two herniated discs at the base of the spine) and causes inflammation. Early after that injury exercise was one of the few things that provided relief. I've gotten older and it's gotten worse. Oh well.
Yeah men tend to work their bodies too hard. Over 80% of humans have back issues with almost 75% of the worst being men (ever notice all the old guys with canes?), however it's almost totally unknown in the rest of the animal kingdom. Only about 3% that we know of and almost all of those from injury.
We were never intended to walk upright (all those "graceful curves" are nothing but weak points) and still haven't evolved into it.
I sympathize with your aches and pains, friend. Take care of yourself and don't overdo it.
Like any decent Gent I only have two speeds... 'Nap' or 'Balls to the Wall!' lol
Sorry to hear of your lower back issue...My back is stout but the ankles and knees are a total disaster!
The Rum keeps everything well oiled, forget that Doctor with his pills!
That guy seems like a dope-dealer...The Liquor Store is my destination 👍
Our legs are not well engineered for what we do with them. God I do love rum! And tequila!
I've been fortunate in inheriting a strong will from both my parents. Apart from most people, apparently, I have little problem with addiction. I use what I want till I tire of it and deal with the consequences. It's only a matter of time.
I appreciate painkillers for obvious reasons.
Mmm rum. Think I'll go to the liquor store. You're a bad influence lol ;)
Yep, everything hurts but screw it all
I'm a bit of a bastard, apologies...
Be sure to buy two bottles of the cheapest Rum they have...that should keep you wet for several days
Some soda would not be a terrible idea...I'll see you Thursday😃
It's really hard to always be nice when you hurt all the time. I try.
Rum and coke, margaritas.
See ya, brother ;)
Let the pain have it's due...A man cant claim to be alive if he's not hurting everywhere
If you're not achy you have not been living my friend
With the exception of that one time when you totally flamed out on my MC Amigos you tend to be sane and fun...keep it in this gear hombre and no worries
Yes, the Liquor Cabinet is the spot...these Doctors and their bullshit pills will kill you quicker than a bullet
Let's drink and bark at the sun and moon
Yeah I don't feel good about the way I acted but they pushed the wrong buttons at the wrong time. I'll treat anyone with the same respect they give me. I'll be the first to defend you but make no mistake - I'll defend myself with everything I have.
Anyway, hopefully that's in the past.
Just got back from the liquor store! Woo hoo!
I can't blame you Cruz...hell, I completely understand
You should be a good fit here, the MC crowd are good folks
Seems like WE are the outliers LOL...I suppose we should work on this but of course we wont:)
Damn fine to meet you Cruz, let's make it work from here on in🥃🥃
All we can do is try. I have to lay down every afternoon to give my left hip and lower back a rest but gut it out and get done what I need to until then. Mornings have always been my best time so it works for me.
Growing up disabled I did more than I probably should have but we live and learn. I enjoyed myself while I could; no regrets.
I'm sorry to hear that. But it's not pity! I know you don't want that.
All my issues I basically did to myself. Shouldn't complain but sometimes I still do (Joe Walsh);)
I spent a few years riding with a biker gang who shall not be named. Thought I wasn't having fun unless the night included a fight at some point.
As they say "Pain goes away, chicks dig scars, and glory lasts forever".
Bullshit on all three counts!
But I didn't learn that till I got older and wiser ;)
Nope, no pity wanted or needed :-)
Older and wiser here also! And still learning.
That's a tough one. Good luck with that.
