Do you get along with older people?

By older, I mean 60 years of age or more.

I do for the most part (unless I provoke them intentionally.)

As a caregiver in a nursing home, I like to think I’ve brought a lot of the residents peace over the years using my patented Pillow to Heaven method. (I’m just kidding. I don’t really work there.)

reply

NOT IN ANY OFFICIAL CAPACITY THAT IS.

reply

Throw on some scrubs and You’d be amazed at how no one ever questions your presence.

reply

YOU AND I ARE A NICE ONE TWO PUNCH...I GIVE EM A LAST,FORCED THRILL AND YOU SMOTHER EM OUT AND STEAL THEIR JEWELRY AND TEETH.

reply

I would never steal! What kind of a person do you think I am?

reply

Yes, mostly.

reply

Most elders are annoying to me and has some sort of self entitlement because they have been in this world briefly longer than the younger generations. After 70 or so they transform into wrinkly assholes. The exceptions to this rule can be cool people though.

reply

Slightly older: yes
60+: not really. I speak quietly, and they can't hear a thing. Even if they do, I feel like we have nothing in common.

reply

They're easier to deal with. They don't play with their phones all day and say "like" all the time. However they're not as good as the old people of 20 years ago. I'm starting to see old men wearing Metallica and Def Leppard t-shirts. The new generation of old people coming up is going to be a mess.

reply

Depends on the old person I guess. I spend a lot of time with my grandma who is 98 and she's awesome to hang out with. There are other older people who I don't get along with. I'm not sure age really makes a difference for me.

reply

I do, but most are older women, teachers, so that usually means they are a little more patient, smart and nice.

reply

I don't get along with anyone, I have autism.
