Which movie/person do you think has the most annoying fans?

I'm going to say Tarantino. One little criticism about any of his films and they bite your head off.

reply

The Star Wars Fan-dementalists can be quite annoying.

reply

I've enjoyed the Star Wars movies but you can get your head bit off on those boards

I never heard of the term 'Mary Sue' before venturing there!

Bunch of kooks.

reply

Yeah they are nut cases. " Daisy Ridley can't act " " Daisy Ridley is ugly " and on and on. Just complete nonsense.

reply

Yeah, the Daisy is ugly posts are clearly the misbegotten efforts of a couple of idiot trolls

reply

Death threats toward the Jar Jar Binks actor doesn't help their image.

reply

It's psychotic behaviour.

reply

Even the racism when John Boyega was cast.

reply

Boyega was great. Take he and Daisy out of the sequels and what have you got ?

reply

The script, that's what you've got!

But seriously, I think the most batshit fandom I've ever seen was the women who went crazy over Benedict Cumberbacht in "Sherlock". No, excuse me, they were all crazy to start with - it just turned their innate crazy into a louder form.

reply

Nothing can ever be good in the eyes of hardcore Star Wars fans. Each of them has their own fanfictions and nothing can ever come close to the "perfection" of those.

reply

I wonder how they react to each other's fan fictions?

They all hate everything that isn't the original trilogy, and devote their entire lives to complaining about anything new and being assholes in general. I can't imagine they're any different about fan fiction.

reply

Agreed. Nerdism on steroids

reply

Tarantino fan reporting, and I would never think of such a thing. 😎

reply

One quip about how he rips off movies and a lot of fans will charge at me chanting "he doesn't steal, he borrows".

reply

" It's a homage ! "

reply

I was gonna say Pulp Fiction, but you already said Tarantino.

reply

Oprah

reply

Please welcome to the show: Normaaaa and Nooooormaaaaan.

reply

You get a car and you get a car...

I will also add ELLEN! Ugh.

I never felt that way about Blade Runner. On the IMDb message boards, I used to post topics about how much I hated it, and I never really got any backlash other than to just watch it again because I'd like it better the second time.

reply

The whole Marvel Vs DC thing.

reply

As someone who is not a fan of either Marvel or DC in general, the Marvel fans are definitely worse. Back in the IMDb message boards days, I got into many a fight with fanboys because they just couldn't understand how anybody could think Avengers wasn't the greatest film of all time. They thought I was missing the "layers" to the story. It was fun to see them cry when Scorsese dissed the franchise.

reply

I’ve been collecting comics for over 40 years and think the superhero film genre has some excellent entries, along with some real turkeys. Nevertheless, life’s too short to get involved in slagging matches.

reply

But someone needs to knock sense into these people. Future films depend on it.

reply

Can we use historical examples? The whole Twilight era saw some crazy fans.

reply

Most fans were girls under the age of 18. I'll give them a pass. Their brains weren't fully formed yet.

reply

I was originally gonna say Twilight until I thought of Oprah.

I'll also add Harry Potter fans. 🤢

reply

While maybe Harry Potter is not Oscars material. I do think they are pretty good movies fans are not that delusional that they are supporting good films.

I’m not a Harry Potter super fan but they did a great job creating their wizard world, it’s crazy once our heroes enter into the wizard world is like they are in a different time. Just like with Thor And the MCU in the first movies.

When we get to earth we are in the 21st century but once we are in Asgard it feels like we are in The Elizabethan era. They use horses as transportation.

reply

I'm a huge Kurt Cobain fan and happen to like the music of Hole too. Kurt's fans are maniacs when it comes to Courtney Love.

reply

WELL,SHE IS A HEARTLESS HELL BEAST...HOLE WAS COOL THOUGH.

reply

That one is a little different because there is a possible murder angle going on there.

reply

Okay, now you sound like one of those maniac Kurt fans. The guy committed suicide.

reply

I said possible murder angle. There are fans out there who think she murdered him. This isn't about Nirvana fans attacking people because they think Nirvana is the greatest band of all time.

reply

They are crazy ass fans unwilling to accept that their idol wasn't perfect and chose to off himself. It's sad, but the guy had been depressed since childhood.

reply

spot on

reply

it was an obvious suicide.

reply

I agree. A lot of his fans are delusional about his state of mind at the time.
