Anyone actually cried because a celebrity died?
I see on the news when it happens, Michael Jackson, Robin Williams or more recently Kobe Bryant.

shareHahahahaha... No
There's a few that I'd be genuinely sad over if they died, but none I would literally cry over. Kobe Bryant's death didn't bother me at all.
I was in a record store (remember those?) when the news came through that Kurt Cobain had killed himself. The woman serving me had just gotten off the phone and told me, she was a mess. I was just standing there hoping she would hurry up.
I also had a female friend who went into hysteria and tears when River Phoenix died, she had never seen any of his films. Her mother asked her why she was so upset, she just said "Oh just let me be sad".
So no, I have never cried over a celeb dying.
Women are strange beings!
sharePAUL NEWMAN,GEORGE CARLIN,CHICK HEARN..AND YES,NUMBER 8/24...A FEW MORE IF I THOUGHT ABOUT IT.
shareI guess presidents count. I took a day off of work for Ronald Reagan’s funeral in the 2004. I watched it on TV and cried like a baby.
shareI will admit, I did shed a little tear when Robin Williams and Brittany Murphy passed away. Robin was a big part of my childhood and I once had the pleasure of meeting him. I don't know why about Brittany though, I had only seen her in like 4/5 movies and didn't really know much about her, it's weird.
shareDon’t be silly.
sharenot that i can ever recall.
but i know i've maybe cried just a little over tributes, obituaries, things like that. i can't remember who wrote it (peter robinson, maybe), but there was a piece on milton friedman when he died that kinda had that effect on me.
i used to be active on a prince message board, & when he died, i was really moved by a lot of the posts there from people who were really sincerely talking about growing up with him, what he meant to them, things like that.
i can see having the same reaction when someone like bob dylan goes.
