I just watched The Electrical Life of Louis Wain yesterday. I could feel the Christmas vibe.

what is it about?

reply

The Electrical Life of Louis Wain.

reply

who is he?

reply

An artist who suffered from a mental illness.

reply

so he has nothing to do with electricity?

reply

I think there is an element of electricity judging from the trailer.

reply

He's obsessed with electricity (a new invention in 1820s,) tought it as somekind of supernatual / divine-like. And it shows in his later artworks.

reply

Sounds very similar to Van Gogh, who was basically expelled from his church for having been perceived as too zealous with his Christianity.

reply

I always think of The Sound of Music during Christmas time.

reply

ABC is airing that tonight Sunday 19 Dec 2021 from 7 PM ET to 11 PM ET. R.I.P Christopher Plummer.

reply

I saw a sing-a-long version of that a few Christmases ago, it helped that I was drunk. 🍻

reply

Incredibles, I don't why but its become a family tradition.

I'll be watching Casablanca on Christmas Day, there are usually the same old 60's & 70's war films on TV over Xmas too, so I watch them if they are on, it's usually Great Escape and Escape to Victory.

Raiders of the Lost Ark too!
