2001: A Space Odyssey
It's the film which changed forever how films are made, and how we view them. It's the only film I've ever given a perfect 10/10 rating to. And it was directed by the greatest director of all time, Stanley Kubrick.

So hard to pick just one, but gotta go with Buster Keaton's masterpiece The General (1926). The stuntwork, comedy, and visuals never fail to astonish me no matter how many times I've seen it.
