Back in middle school, I had a friend who explained how hot Arizona was before she moved. I also know a few other people who have been there and told me So I'm not denying it in any way that it probably is not.
There's a reason why the streets here are pretty empty right now. Anyone who has the money gets out for the summer. The worst part isn't the temperature outside, but the temperature in your car, if you try to do anything between 12-6pm. Getting back in your car is migraine inducing.

shareI had to drive across the Midwest to Tucson on a business trip, in the middle of summer, years ago. When I crossed the state line into Arizona, I opted to make the remainder of the journey, driving only at night. That trip has been etched into my memory.

Texas is reportedly the hottest state in the USA, but it is very big and the temperature varies in different parts.
I wouldn't live in Texas, either. That's another place I wouldn't even want to visit, let alone live there.
shareLast week here in Louisiana we had upper 90’s with high humidity as well. Luckily the rain has moved in and we are dropping into the lower 90’s for the next week or so.
Either way you stay soaked if your outside.
