Like #1 on your list. Mine at the moment is Hollywood Undead

Signed, million man.

Duran Duran

👍

Great band. And underrated.

Depeche Mode

I saw them in San Antonio last month and they are still great.

reply

Seeing them in November. Even if they didn't wow me live in 2017, I still love their music. The new album is really good in my opinion. First one I've listened to on repeat since Ultra.

reply

They are definitely playing a lot off the new album on this tour, because I was not familiar with those songs. I was a little let down because they didn’t play Strange Love. Lol

Oh, and what’s up with 50 dollar band tee shirts these days? 😳

reply

It looked like they played a few from Songs of Faith and Devotion.

I'm always happy when they play Everything Counts.

“Everything Counts” 👍👍

I have a few others lined up also. We have The Cure next week in New Orleans and I’m pretty sure we are on 2nd or 3rd row. Then Duran Duran in a couple of months on 11th row. My girls are trying to talk me into seeing My Life With the Thrill Kill Cult too.

I'm not really a concert girl. I'm more into theatre. I'm going to see Aladdin, and Six again in the next couple of months. For local theatre I'm seeing 10 Funerals next Tuesday, an Improvised Musical next weekend, I have a drag/burlesque fundraiser coming up, and I have tickets to Next Fest (local theatre festival). I just saw The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Pretty Woman (Broadway Across Canada). I was so happy that Adam Pascal was in the touring company of Pretty Woman. I've had a crush on him since 1998.

I've just found that concerts almost always disappoint me.

Wow, you really do have lots of events scheduled. It’s so nice that things are back to normal since the Covid lock downs.

Even though you are often let down by concerts, I hope ya enjoy Depeche Mode. For me it seems like it all hinges on how close I am. I saw Gary Newman, Front Line Assembly and Ministry last week, up close to the stage, and I thought they were great even though I’m not a huge fan of theirs.

I ended up getting free tickets to Nickleback about 12 years ago, and honestly, they put on a great show. I'm not a huge fan, but the tickets were really close, and Chad pretty much sounded the same as he does on the album. So that was good.

I did end up getting Covid when I was at Pretty Woman. So I'm still trying to be safe and stick to smaller venues.

reply

I know what you mean. I’m hoping whatever is around now is weak. 😀

I'm still super tired all the time, and I haven't kicked the cough yet, but I'm feeling well enough to go out in the heat here. We are having crazy weather. It was warmer here today than it was in Vegas. We've been at 30°c (86°f) this week which is crazy for the beginning of May. So many wildfires already. This time last year we were at 9°c (48°f) and that's average.

reply

So how long ago did you catch it? I’m sorry to hear you are still not back to 100 percent. Hopefully you now have good antibodies.

reply

I was down for about 2 weeks. Covid symptoms were bad for about a week, but it exacerbated the MS symptoms and that threw me for a loop more than Covid.

Original Van Halen

They were my favorite growing up.

MEAT LOAF & THE ALKALINE TRIO.

HANDS DOWN WITHOUT A DOUBT WILL NEVER CHANGE...MY TWO FAVORITE VOICES ARE MICHAEL LEE ADAY AND MATT SKIBA.

reply

Alk3 is awesome! But Dan contributes just as much. I didn't even like the Blink 182 album with Skiba on lead vocals.

They should have formed a superband: "Meat Loaf & the Alkaline Trio" ! :D

Johnny cash

I'm a millenial, and not ashamed to admit that I first heard Cash's songs in "Walk The Line". But liked them instantly, and listen to them ever since.
Elvis is also such a legend... He will have new fans for decades to come.

they are legends.
