A Walk to Remember

It's kind of cheesy at times, but this movie changed my whole world view. It has strong individuality/insecurity overtones, and depicts the purest love, whereas I think most romance movies depict heated infatuation, and even toxic relationships.

The only movies I've seen that compare are Japanese, and you have to read subtitles... but usually those have characters behaving in weird ways I don't really understand, due to cultural differences. Things such as "ghosting" being presented as an admirable thing... then they come back 3 years later, having written a best selling book or some crap like that, and are ready to continue the relationship where they left off. Lol.
