What's that band or album, critically acclaimed, that supposedly everyone loves but you just don't seem to care?
To me it's Pink Floyd's the wall
I've listened a handful of times and none of the songs stuck.... Also, were they doing the bassist a favor by letting him "sing"?

The Velvet Underground, Lou Reed - seem to be influential but are boring.
Blondie (never understood why they were punk).
U2 esp mid 80’s onwards they become increasingly pretentious. At the start they sounded like a pub band.
Bowie after the 70’s he just becomes boring mainstream pop.
The Beatles when they started getting hippy.
Queen some good rock songs but too many novelty campy ones. I can’t take them seriously.
Maroon 5, Coldplay, Radiohead background music. Boring.
Foo Fighters - the rock version of Muzak. How was Grohl in Nirvana than forms an AOR band like Foo Fighters? I don’t get it.

Wow, I am in agreement with basically everything you said here. Knowing that I'm not alone disliking all of those things is going to be one of the highlights of my day.
I will at least say this about Foo Fighters though; even Dave Growl knows they suck and was quoted once saying that in an interview. He gets some credit for admitting that at least.
I see Dave as basically playing the rock star fantasy safe in the knowledge that he was already a successful and mega wealthy grunge star before Foo Fighters. He has nothing to lose, he clearly loves straight ahead rock n roll and that is fine. It just makes me wonder what he was doing in Nirvana but then a lot of those grunge muso's started off liking and playing hard rock and metal anyway. The guitar player in Pearl Jam was a huge Kiss fan and played in hair metal bands in the 80's.
I wonder if he would have remained in Nirvana had Kurt lived.

JK there. In all seriousness though, I was looking for the interview where I remembered Kurt Cobain talking trash about Dave Grohl but after about 30 seconds of searching that was the best that I could do.
I never liked Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody"
People love it but I think it's pretentious trash.
Do you like other queen songs though? The earliest memories I have of my childhood was a moment where I was playing with masters of the universe and queen's radio gaga was on the radio. I bet every 80s kid,regardless of their musical preferences will find common ground in queen
