Do you have any idea what it is like unable to walk?

I'm here to tell ya. It is awful. It's depressing.

Can't imagine. Do you have assistance with a wheelchair ?

reply

No I'm walking but there was a time that I couldn't walk and then i had to use a cane.

I wish you well. :)

My grandma used to always that we should be thankful that we have all our senses & limbs.

Not as a slight against people without any but in the sense that, not having one would straight-up suck & you'd just be a burden onto others.

I'm so sorry to hear you have to deal with this.

In a small way, I can empathize. Just today I was finally able to put my walking cane in the closet. For months I've been hobbling around due to an injured knee. For a while, I thought it was never going to get better.

My daughter has two brothers-in-law in wheelchairs for life, so I've had experience in seeing how difficult it can be. But one of the guys still farms, thanks to a lot of adaptive equipment.

My dad worked with paralyzed vets for many years, doing his best to organize activities such as fishing, bowling and archery. He was even able to teach blind vets how to target-shoot with a bow and arrow.

Right around my 31st birthday I had to get surgery to repair a herniated disc in my lower back. It was impending on nerves in my left leg and if I went any longer it might have had numbness in my leg. The pain was so bad I had trouble walking.

reply

Yeah, everytime I get drunk.

Signed, million man.

reply

Number one answer! ☝️

reply

No, but it is almost impossible for me during sleep paralysis and paresthesia

reply

YUP...THAT IS WHY I REFUSE TO GO OUT WITH BLOODSHOT AGAIN.
