How is it racism?

reply

its 2022 bro, if u dont allow afromuricans to chip out in public without any legal or social consequences then you are labeled a racism wizard

reply

he's black , he won , so they punish

reply

Just as well it was black on black violence. If it were a white guy slapping a black guy there would have been a lynching already.

reply

Hollywood don't murder people , you just get blacklisted

reply

Maybe old Hollywood. Woke Hollywood gonna lynch whites for far less than slappin'!

reply

Absolutely ridiculous. If a white actor had slapped Chris Rock this article wouldn't exist. In fact they would say the 10 year ban is way too light. There would be protests over the decision, and The Academy would be forced to take away his Oscar.
According to this logic had they let Smith completely off the hook, would that not be racist for the black victim who was attacked? Basically black actor slaps other black actor then it's racist if the aggressor is punished. White actor slaps black actor then it's racist if the aggressor is not punished. He got to keep his damn Oscar, what more do they want? Just let him get away with the whole damn thing... Fuck Chris Rock right? No justice for the black man who was attacked. Sounds kinda racist lol

reply

This shit gets more ridiculous by the year. The exponential climb of one-upping each other for virtue points to where it becomes just pure idiotic hilarity.

I really don't understand how randomly picking tweets is news. Twitter is a cesspool, so why should we care if someone finds it racist?

I also wanted to say that comparing Smith's case to those who have been accused of sexual assault is just weird. The only one who makes sense is Jim Carey, but since that happened at the MTV awards and not the Oscars...it's not like they have a case to ban him. If any of these events had happened on stage, at the Academy Awards, then they would be comparable events, and the lack of bans would be news worthy.

reply

“If you feel sorry for an African American man who got slapped, it’s racist” - people calling this issue racist, probably

reply

They should ban the Oscars for being a useless award show.

reply

It is a usable award show. It's fun! And great to watch!

reply

Oh please, how is a kiss comparable to slapping someone? In France men kiss each other as a greeting.
