My grandmother had dementia, she lasted 2 years after being diagnosed and to this day I believe this started when she decides she had enough. One day she said "I don't know what I'm doing here anymore, I'm not needed", I am wondering if that's the sort of thing that happened to Bruce, he lost his purpose or willing to live and his mind drifted

Now Ms. Woodward can't remember Paul Newman's name, just that she was married to this handsome guy. My Optometrist and Vision Therapist's mothers had dementia. The OD died before the disease could manifest itself. The VT died of dementia. They had a daughter that must feel like a ticking time bomb.
