Only 3? Back in the 80s and 90s he basically would steal every scene he was in... "LOOK THATS MICHAEL BIEHN!" Seemed like he was always the most interesting character in the film even if he was just a side character or a bad guy.

Terminator and Aliens are too easy.

Ill go with The Abyss, Rampage (Forgotten Friedkin gem), and The Seventh Sign. His performance in Tombstone is also one of the best villains of all time in terms of being actually threatening. Difficult with Biehn because his best performances hes not usually the lead. His performance in smaller pictures is always good as well. Megiddo is a pretty good film. He also did some good work in TV films early on in his career. I remember him playing a crazy in a film called a Taste For Killing back in the early 90s I liked but have never been able to locate it since.

Its a shame he kind of shunned being a bigger actor. I still wish he would have taken the role of Jack Ryan because it probably would have changed the entire trajectory of his career. I would say his biggest problem was the booze/drugs. Biehn is an alcoholic and I always suspect it distracted him from commiting more. He seemed content just playing supporting characters when he really should have been playing the lead in his films. Seems like he got killed in at least half of his roles.

When I see him in interviews these days he seems pretty bitter and I dont blame him. A lot of the damage he did to himself though IMO. William Friedkin obviously liked him and I always thought those two were a good match its just too bad we didnt get more from that duo.

Regardless of his ups and downs I still like his work even in his lesser films. Hes a lot better actor than he has ever been given credit for. He also has massive screen presence no matter who he is in a scene with. The best scenes in The Rock are all basically his if you go back and watch the film.
Pretty sure he is still clean now and has cleaned up his substance abuse.
