Have another botched surgery Mick lol.

Gotta agree on some level.
I like TC. But he used to be a solid actor.
He has not taken a challenging role since EWS. That was 23 years ago, enough with the action roles. Try something worthy.

reply

I also agree to a point but he's managed to stay a top leading man in 5 different decades. When I look at the best male actors in history I look at someone like Jack Nicholson, who ALWAYS delivered with a much wider range..but Jack was on a whole nother' level. TC knows his limitations and sticks to giving audiences what they want, an exciting 2 hours of escapism. Mickey Rourke? Yeah, a has been who loves himself so much he destroyed his body/mind.

reply

Since EWS?

What about Magnolia, Collateral, and Tropic Thunder.

reply

But he does the action roles so well. Compare them to the now ever increasingly ridiculous shit like Faat and Furious and they are on a whole different level.

reply

Talk about the pot calling the kettle. I haven't seen anything from Mickey Rourke since his horrible role in Iron Man 2. True, Tom is mostly an action star these last 2 decades but HE is the one who's managed to stay relevant. And this is saying a lot since Hollywood is known for dumping an established star for the flavor of the month.

reply

He's just a bitter old man now because of what he did to his once topnotch face.

reply

At least Tom takes a shower when he knows it's needed.

reply

That really made me laugh.

To think that in the 80s/early 90s I did have a crush on Rourke. Eww

reply

He's relevant when he's in a big franchise movie. And those are the only movies he does now.

reply

American Made was a bit different.

reply

Misleading headline. He didn't really call him out, and he's said he's irrelevant in his world, where Pacino, early De Niro, etc are what acting is all about. Cruise is more movie star than rangy actor.

reply

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Cruise makes entertaining films. The MI films are very entertaining. They are better than the bond films IMO. He will do smaller stuff again.
