Fuckin dumb millenials

They only like a song because it's in a TV show?

Immature, blinkered fuckers

They ruined her song. I can't stand it anymore, now

I disagree, I think its cool to see a song get a second life long after it's release to an audience that wasn't intended for. Lots of times when you show a song to someone younger, they just don't appreciate it, and it's impossible to explain your nostalgia, or what it was like when the song came out. Their frame of reference will be different, but all that matter is that they appreciate the song.

Its especially cool to me because they didn't just pick one of the biggest hits of the 80s. They took more of a hidden gem and gave it new life.

Although I do have to admit, hearing a 13 years say that Stranger Things made Metallica popular did Trigger me.

This also isn't something new. There are countless examples of songs becoming popular again through music and movies, our parents had to go through it when we were the dumb kids

Ok boomer

I've never seen the show, but I thought it was a Gen Z thing.

It is rather funny to see her go from several thousand followers on Pandora to close to a million!

She deserves every bit of the attention her music is receiving.

I don't mind people enjoying a song.

What I do mind is the algorithm on Amazon Music and Spotify thinking I would enjoy it. I don't. Fortunately I can dislike the long on Amazon and not have to hear it again.

it's genz not millenials

I guess that's what the Boomers were thinking of the stupid GenX kids back in 1991, when they suddenly "discovered" The Doors, after that silly movie came out
