Bruce Jenner was a world class athlete. I will always admire his athletic ability. But I'm sorry he has a mental problem. But you're either an XX or an XY. No amount of "surgery" can change that!

Ask yourself if you would have given what Bruce Jenner did with his life in his 60's any consideration at all if he hadn't come out as transgender. To me, his involvement in that ridiculously vapid reality show with his fame-whore family is much more of a shame than whether he wants to wear pants or skirts.

What is your point? She does say she is a TRANSGENDER woman. She's knows she's biologically a male. She's not pretending to be a natural-born female.

"She" knows "she" is a male? Then why does a he want to be called a she? This makes sense to you??? Okay, but not to me. Then why did "she" whack off her male parts? NOT pretending to be a naturally born female? How the hell could Bruce Jenner "pretend" to be a naturally born female anyway, when he was married to three women and FATHERED a half dozen kids??

Obviously now he wants to be considered a female after fathering a bunch of kids and mentally screwing up THEIR lives!

Well, you and I differ on the definition of "pretending" I guess! Grow your hair, put on a dress and pantyhose, nail polish and make-up, have plastic surgery to "feminize" your features, and well...uh...yeah.. you ARE pretending to be a female!

I have women friends and relatives who hate pantyhose and eschew make-up, but luckily they DON'T have to pretend to be female with clothes and make-up....BECAUSE they ARE! A biological woman can have a butch haircut and wear jeans and boots and she is STILL female. A male, on the other hand, has to wear a costume to be considered in any way, shape or form, a female.

Bruce/Caitlin can call himself a female, but he isn't. Neither are the countless, nameless, non celebrity transgenders who suffer from this mental affliction. I feel sorry for them. But I won't pay lip service to their sick delusions.

As to your earlier point, who cares what Jenner calls her self? Why do you care? Does it affect your life in some way if some one else identifies as a woman when born a man? How exactly is your life affected by any of this? The whole family are attention seeking whores and a massive pain in the ass, but honestly Ive cared more about the toilet paper after wiping my arse than I do what someone else calls themself. Jenner could identify as smurf and it would make the same difference to my life, ie none. I suspect it amounts to the same in your life so why are bothered?

Caitlyn Jenner got three segments and John Legend got pushed to another day! Ugh . I felt bad for Bruce two years ago , I just can't stand Caitlyn. Not because she's transgender, but she had to put salacious details of her marriage to Kris, and details about things Robert Kardasian, the father of his stepdaughters may have said in confidence.

No matter what Kris is , she is still the mom of two of his children, and Robert K is still the dad of his stepdaughters, and he's not alive to defend himself .

Watching Kelly gushing over Caitlyn was nauseating. I think Caitlyn is very selfish and had no care for how anyone else was treated when voting, but only got you when her candidate turned on the transgender community.

I wonder if Kelly and Mark will have Caitlyn guest star on their gay reality show about fire island! Or maybe she'll bee vacationing with them soon with her new boyfriend or girlfriend!

You should see how much they airbrush him on magazine covers. The illusion only works if you don't see actual videos of him in his girl getup. In videos, he still resembles a man with long hair and dressing in woman's clothes, and even the most comprehensive cosmetic surgery isn't gonna make his shoulders smaller and his hips wider.

Mom surprised me when she told me her assessment of it (and this came after her shock of seeing this sexy, hot, athlete live a full-rich life in the public eye as he truly should have been) was that this is a worn out, former athlete in his 60s, trying to be a young woman in her 20s, and that is what makes the entire "transformation" an even bigger farce than just pretending to be female.

Chances are, when he dies and goes to heaven to meet the Lord finally, he's gonna be Bruce again, and wonder what happened.

Well, a LOT of celebrities are airbrushed on magazine covers, so I'm not surprised.

I've seen several different men on TV who have "become women". It just looks so awfully sad. They look like guys who forgot to take off their Halloween costumes. Seriously, it is pathetic to see a guy , big Adam's apple, size twelve feet stuffed into heels, long hair, thinking they look and sound like women.

It is a shame that we live in a culture that only smiles and nods at such mental dysfunction and pretends it's normal.

Someone who thinks he or she can become another gender needs help and compassion, not a bunch of people who fear being called bigots who smile and agree.

This is the reality of what most transgender women look like. They're complete caricatures of femininity. I saw one walking down the street one day and it was so obvious it was a man. He was putting on feminine airs and wearing a dress, but had the shoulders of a linebacker and the waist and hips of a man.

Have you also noticed, that even with the hormone treatments, they don't even sound like women? Their voices just sound like extremely effeminate male tones, rather than an actual woman's tones.

One of the sadder aspects of the Transsexual community is the fact that some get Buyer's Remorse after the surgery, and still end up committing suicide. Could it be that they finally realized they made a big mistake? Now Bruce isn't one of those, but sometimes I wonder if he regrets what he's done.

I must sound really harsh but I actually do feel sympathy for anyone who feels that he or she is the wrong gender. it must be hell. I think of those with body dysmorphic disorders who are skeletal yet they feel that they are hugely overweight.

I don't know how gender dysmorphia works, but it must be just as painful.

Bruce Jenner,before he was Caitlin, said something very revealing in an interview. He said that after winning the Olympics when he would go on interviews he used to wear pantyhose under his suits because it made him "feel feminine."

That was his understanding of one aspect of being a girl. But I know many women who HATE pantyhose. They never wear them. I don't think they are comfortable but I still can't go barelegged in a dress. I feel that it doesn't look well groomed.
He also said that he couldn't wait to be able to wear nail polish out in public. I've always had long painted nails, but I know a lot of women who have short nails and never wear polish. They are just as female as I am! I also never leave the house without lipstick, but many women never wear it.

These outward signs are not what makes a woman. Men who want to be women seem to think that all the usual feminine "trappings", long hair, make-up, nail polish,etc. are what make a woman a woman.

Maybe it's a double standard. I have a bunch of men's cotton undershirts which I wear as nightshirts. They are comfy and since they are cotton, I like them because I sweat at night (hot flashes!). No one who saw me in one would think that I wanted to be a man. However, if a guy wears a bra, well... it carries a whole different connotation! Of course, no one in their right mind wears a bra for comfort! ha

Yes. That's what part of the problem is. There was more tolerance in the past for guys who wanted to indulge their more feminine side. There isn't today, which is why I think transgenderism has exploded.

For example, when I was a kid, androgyny was all the rage in pop culture (hair metal bands, glam rock, etc.) and boys who were into girly things were called sissies. Ironically, even though "sissy" was a sign of intolerance, at least it acknowledged that there were boys "who were like that." It didn't say it was a good thing but it at least said it was a thing.

Now, there's so little tolerance that any boy who's into girly things is immediately designated transgender and is brainwashed into thinking he's gender-confused. No one even considers the idea that he may grow up to be gay or a guy (gay or straight) who becomes a hairdresser, fashion designer, drag queen entertainer or something else that involves feminine things.

If this were the 1980s, none of these kids today would be considered transgender or grow up gender-confused, because there were people like David Bowie, Elton John, Boy George and so many hair metal bands who showed that a man can be femmy and still be very much a man. Today, there's no one.

It was the 1980s. Everyone looked like a dork, because it was the Reagan Era, and everyone had to look ultra-conservative, with the cheesy hair, button down shirts and cardigan sweaters.

When he was young and still a man, they did. It's something the women of the time thought of him, not me. I didn't know anything about him because I was born after the 70s, so most people didn't even talk about him in the 80s and 90s unless you were over 30 and a huge fan of his.
