I'm from Canada and was in high school in 1972.
My interests were science and math. Canada went metric. Did not give a fuck about sports or politics.
I don't remember anything specific from 1972. Why do you expect someone not born yet to?

You are not Canadian. The schools shutdown on Sept 28/1972 for this event. The whole country shutdown. Stop the nonsense.

reply

Ok, I'm Canadian, and I have no idea what you are talking about without taking to Google.

reply

You never heard of Paul Henderson ??

reply

I have heard the name, but I'm not a hockey fan at all and wouldn't have associated 1972 with anything to do with hockey. Even that Summit Series. I do have knowledge about the event but it's not something that I've ever thought of. :)

Ask your father or grandfather about this goal

Specifics. What do you find wrong with Trudeau? Why do you prefer Andrew Scheer?

reply

Ok, I'm not a huge fan of Trudeau. Nor am I a fan about the Omar Khadr situation, but probably not for the reason you think. The Supreme Court upheld his Charter Rights. That's all it was about. If the Canadian agents hadn't broken the charter, there would have been no pay out. I guess though now that both Ontario and Quebec are giving a big FU to the Charter and to the courts why should we as Canadians care? The Charter is only there for our rights and freedoms right?
