Why I liked the original better: Robert de Niro ACTED scary, Robert Mitchum WAS scary. Makes all the difference in the world.

Yeah, I watched these back to back and it's not even close.

Mitchum was riveting the entire movie.

DeNiro was a cartoon with a terrible accent and I could not wait for him to STFU because he just rambled on and on.
