The first time you saw First Blood?

I was 15 years old and saw it at our local cinema in 1982. Rambo was our hero! Not kidding.

I can't remember when I first saw it, but that's super cool you got to see it in the theatre! That's the year I was born, lol! What a great movie! I'm actually listening to the audiobook right now. What a great story!!

It was a great experience seeing it in a theater in retrospect. First Blood was the first VHS tape I rented a few years later. Love this movie to this day! I must check out the novel or audiobook sometime in the future.

I was a kid and I saw it home on a vhs tape.

on a betamax tape that came with a huge betamax machine I bought from a friend at school for £12
(about the time the sequel came out)

reply

Can't remember but I think it was on TV.

However, I do remember finding it to be an impressive movie. It's a shame that the sequels never came close to the original, Although, Rambo (2008) was pretty good. I haven't seen Last Blood yet...

reply

I agree. The sequels left much to be desired. I also enjoyed Rambo 2008. The jury is still out on "Last Blood". I have to see it again.

I was at a friends house, and we saw it on one of the pay channels on a huge (for the time) Philco projection TV. I think it was a 45" but when the next size down was a 27", it was a monster. Probably 1983 or 1984.

I was probably 15 myself when I first watched it. I liked it. Though at age 20 I read the book and since then though I like the movie I like the book better.

reply

I saw it while getting my teeth cleanned at the dentist.

reply

It took an hour and a half for the dentist to clean your teeth!?

reply

I didn't see the whole thing. saw part of it. And the hygienist--who obviously had a crush on young stallone running around sweaty and shirtless was looking at the movie vs paying attention to me. She poked me with the pick.

reply

You should give it a chance. It's pretty good.

reply

Getting stabbed in the nose kinda ruined the experience.

reply

Yikes! Still, I can beat that. I have a dentist horror story that will chill even Rambo's bones to the core!!

reply

I was 12, I thought it was a very emotional film
