Lieutenant Clinton Morgan

It always makes me laugh thinking how long National Guard Leader Clinton Morgan was up there in the woods ‘digging Rambo’s body out’ before he got word there was actually no body! lol I wonder how long it took him to get back to the drug store 🤣

‘Don’t look at me, look at the road. That’s how accidents happen’.

reply

Yea, that was a plot hole

reply

I love how he announces himself to Rambo with such gusto.

reply

He uses the same voice as the sheriff in "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back"

"Surrender the orangutaaan!"

reply

I wonder if the guy yelling "whoooohoooo" is Morgan also. This is the moment when Rambo is deciding whether to head towards the mine entrance, a few Nasty Guard guys reach the top of the hill and one yells out "whoooohoooo!!!" . ..lol what a clown!

reply

Teasle was such a jerk for telling him to do that. Another plus for book Teasle. He doesn't do that.

reply

How exactly would Teasle have authority over him?

reply

Because Teasle was the sheriff of that town and would have pulled him over and harassed him if he didn't do as he was told.

reply

So the sheriff of a small town has authority over the national guard leader? That doesn’t sound right to me.

reply

As wears said, Teasle was the sheriff of the town. Clinton Morgan worked in the drugstore when he wasn't a weekend warrior. If he didn't listen to Teasle (authority or not), Teasle would have made his life as a civilian pure hell. Teasle doesn't have any authority over Morgan other than the authority of being a stronger personality.

Hmmmm, OK

What strntz said

reply

Teasle was being a jerk? Like he said to the man, "it's your mess, you clean it up".

reply

One lone man can't possibly clean that up. Also Teasle is not a likable character in this movie. He's a self centered jerk who starts the whole thing by telling a homeless person he has to walk 30 miles to get a bite to eat. Anyone who does that is a no good stinking jerk.

reply

I never got the impression that he ordered Clinton to clean up alone. Clinton commanded a group of other National Guardsmen; the instruction was for him and everyone under his command.

But sure, there is no question that Teasle was a jerk extraordinaire.
