There is no sound in space. 2001 used that fact, magnificent silence. 2010 had sound in space. Major stupid error.

I've always interpreted sound when showing a spaceship going through space as the ambient sounds of the inside of whatever ship was being shown.

Yes, like we are traveling with them inside the ship, but viewing the scene visually from outside like a drone or robot camera view.
But yes of course there is no sound out there we all know that

There is no air in space either. To maintain the full immersion, please suck out all the oxygen in your house before viewing. As this may kill you, you may want to put on a nasa approved space suit first, to properly view this movie.
