Road warrior
Mad Max
Beyond thunderdome

I wanna see fury road soooooo bad.

They're all great, but Road Warrior keeps that raw edginess from the original. BT gets a little bit "cute" at times. Road Warrior for my vote; the best "car chases", best villains (loved Aunty though), and the coolest storyline.

Was Aunty really a villain though? She seemed to have a good heart but a little over her head. She created Thunderdome to limit conflicts and probably kept crime down as did her Draconian laws more than kept crime at a minimum. Max probably would have never gone to Bartertown had Master's lackys stolen his ride and camels. This was his motivation but Aunty knew that Master would cut off power to the town so she sought to gain the power by having Max kill Blaster in a dispute over his belongings in Thunderdome but had a change of heart when seeing that Blaster was retarded. Max broke the deal so he faced the wheel. Where Master became the good guy is still a mystery to me.

I agree with you, she was probably the closest thing to order that you could manage in that world. And, her intentions were good as well since Master was kind of a bastard.

My top 3:

1) The Road Warrior
2) Mad Max
3) Beyond Thunderdome

The Road Warrior had a simple plot, but very well executed as a film. It deservingly paved the way to every distopian-setting in other film and media. I think it had the least interesting villains (Humongous and Wez) in the trilogy, though.

Mad Max was a great revenge tale that gave Max the legendary name. The titular character's development, from dedicated cop and loving family man, to a merciless rogue with dead emotions, was well done. I feel the middle part of the movie dragged a little, though.

Beyond Thunderdome had a very interesting storyarc with the tribal children, but I was a bit disappointed with the toned-down violence that made the first two films unique.

Whichever one watching. Each one us so different its hard to choose.

Mad max is tragic and full if revenge. Even now I find myself hoping his wife and child escape

Road warrior is more apocalyptic and desperate.

Thunderdome is funnier and its blurrier when it comes to good and bad guys. In fact there isnt really any bad guys in it. Aunty is hardly humongous

I can sit and any of them. I generally choose the sequel to the last one I saw

Did you also watch it on itv mrsteely

My problem with the first film is the 'revenge tale' only came up like the last 15 minutes? He didn't hunt for revenge for them setting his partner alight. Instead he went on leave, where that gang eventually ended up and tormented himself and his wife and child and then kill them. Then it is literally like the last 15 minutes when this revenge plot suddenly comes up

All 3 are great, depends on the mood you are in. Each one of them are the best.

All great, but Part 2, The Road Warrior, is one of the most perfect films I've ever seen.

I really like the beginning of Thunderdome, but overall part 2 is better. And the third would be the first one.

01 Mad Max 2 The Road Warrior
02 Mad Max 3 Beyond Thunderdome
03 Mad Max 1 (still excellent)

Mad Max 4 Fury Road ... ?
