What Gives?
There is no listing of this on Amazon.com which usually is very good on making DVD's available to order as soon as possible?
Maybe postponed till next Christmas?

From what I understand, it was in production but never officially announced by Paramount for release (yes you can find the artwork and features but it was never "officially" announced). Therefore, you could never pre-order it or anything. However, don't fear because there's still hope that it will be released later this year (probably to get closer to Christmas and cash in on that market). Who knows, but if it's not out this year, you can bet you won't see it until this time next year. Here's hoping we see it this year.

That stinks! I was looking forward to hearing the Donner commentary on this great and very funny film.

I did too but I will still buy this edition when it comes out. The movie companies have done this to us so often that I'm getting used to it now. I just realize that I am going to end up owning multiple copies of films like Road House, Body Double and Point Break. I suppose it's just the nature of the business.

Holy crap, are you serious?? That's GREAT!! This is one of my all-time favorites, and it's great that a holiday-movie gets such a great Special Edition. I was just about to buy the normal DVD, but I'll definitely wait for this one!

I've been waiting for this DVD for 2 years, and stopped by this messageboard to see if there's some new info about it, still nothing. It pisses me off!

It is not sold at Best Buy. It's on the web site in name only.

The copy is on backorder because IT SHOULD EXIST, but it doesn't. They've done this with other "releases" before.

No pictures either of packaging or anything else.

Since I have nothing better to do, I will call Best Buy (corporate # at bottom of screen) and see what's up.
