I've been waiting and waiting for this edition to be released and finally I just went and bought the current version.

Walmart didn't even have it, so I bought it at Target. I thought it was going to be $9.99 and was surprised it was $2 less.

I'm glad I finally bought it, it's one of my favorite Christmas movies.

Now of course my luck is that they'll release a better version a year or two later.

still waiting for this dvd. only reason i remembered about it is because the movie is being shown right now on amc. might as well release it on blu ray since i upgraded to that format last year. that is, if it is still coming out

I hope they release it, this film needs a special edition and
they should also include the music video as part of the extras.

reply

music video? is it your standard movie music video with movie clips edited in or was there some original footage filmed for it?

reply

I think it's a regular music video, it's called "Put a little
love in your heart" performed by Annie Lennox and
Al Green. It's on Youtube.

reply

hopefully with AMC playing the movie a lot on their station, it garners enough interest to release the special edition of this film. for me, it is a Christmas classic. i watch it every year around Christmas time. it's sort of a family tradition :-)

what in the yule is going on with this?

Again, those are just rumors, while it's been stated before that Murray actually likes the film. So sad to see another year without a release of this edition :(

I hope there are special features on the upcoming blu-ray/dvd disc coming out in a few weeks. It would be a real shame and insult to not have anything on this popular classic. Especially on its 25th anniversary. I would love to see a second commentary with Karen Allen, Carol Kane and Alfre Woodard.
