Did you ever root for him at any point of the trilogy?

When he was learning quicksilver I was rooting for him. Silver was turning him from a wimp to a winner.

Think a part of Silver was genuinely proud of Daniel’s progress and, had the circumstances been different, he might’ve recruited him into the Dynatox set up. Miyagi’s indoctrination eventually proved too strong for Silver to successfully re-educate him.

I know. Silver was trying to teach him but Daniel kept whining “Owww!” or “Why do I have to do this?”

When they were running away from the Downstairs, he seemed to take real satisfaction in seeing the Quicksilver method take effect. He really did turn a wimp into a winner.

I can imagine an alternate ending “Mr Silver….we did it! Alight! Wooooooo!” How do you think Miyagi would have reacted had Daniel won the tournament using Silvers teachings?
