Is there still any love

For Weekend at Bernies?

reply

Yep, just watched it today for the first time in over 25 years and thought it was funnier now than it was when I've first watched it on HBO, I've purchased the DVD for only $5 at Wal-Mart.

Well, yes, the love for stupidity grows as the collective intelligence of our species continues to plummet like a runaway elevator in a greased shaft. My contempt for this is boundless.

reply

I’ve never seen this movie.

reply

Do you have no love for the absurd at all?

reply

A couple of hours stolen from my life that I'll never get back.

reply

I have not seen this movie for years, I am not sure if I would find it funny nowadays, but I remember clearly a scene in which these two friends are driving a boat and they did not know that Bernie was tied with a rope hitting him with every single buoy on their way...😄

I will always despise Jonathan Silverman because of this cinematic rape of comedy. I am comforted and soothed that his subsequent career has given him the same level of satisfaction as a peniloscopy. The Single Guy? Really? Must-Flee TV.

The good news, judging from his unwelcome appearance on Good Girls, is that he’s aging badly.

It’s your karma, Jonathan. It’s a bitch.

reply

It's without a doubt a wonderful film.

I don't remember, though, if the sequel was anywhere near as good as this one.

reply

I found a VHS copy of the sequel. It has none of the charm of the first and a lot of it looks like it was shot on home video as opposed to film.

reply

It's one of my favorite comedies! I watched it again earlier today 😁

reply

I have always despised this POS.
