I am unable to believe even for a second that Richard Gere could beat up Andy Garcia.

Even with the element of surprise on his side. The max he could manage is get that first punch in. After that, Garcia would dig into him and batten him down even with one hand glued behind his back. He would literally smash his whole fist all the way into Gere's gut and tear his entrails out.

There is a damn good reason that Gere has been cast as a tough guy very, very few times in his career. Seems like this film missed that reason.

Andy Garcia has never been cast as a tuff guy

Then you haven't seen the Untouchables.

reply

not in like 20 years,
but Andy has never been tuff

reply

He wasn't a tough guy in the Untouchables. He was a crack shot.

I doubt you'd have the courage to call Sean Connery a Stock Irish Pig. Or much less have the courage to shoot a guy who is holding someone hostage.

Or TGF3.

Richard Gere didn't beat up Andy Garcia. Dennis Peck beat up Raymond Avilla. Different situation entirely.
