One of the top contenders for the worst movie ever made!

I have seen quite a lot of movies, but I have not been as shocked at the sheer idiocy of any movie, as much as I was when I saw Braindead. It is a horror-comedy I know, but this movie insults the viewer's intelligence waaaaaaaaaay beyond the tolerable limit. I am fine with cheesy, sarcastic, over-the-top, demented, gory, leave-your-brain-at-home, etc type of movies as well, but what the heck is this? This movie was completely pathetic without even a single point of redemption. Wait...was this even a movie? It was so bad that there is no point debating the merit (or the sheer lack of it) of even a single scene in the entire movie.

For the love of god, I cannot believe the director is Peter Jackson! If I had seen this movie earlier, I would not have ever dared to watch any of the more respectable movies he made later. And 7.5 on IMDB? WOW? Just WOW! I have not seen such a misleading rating for any other movie. This movie makes me feel that there should be negative rating that allows users to rate below zero.

I hate when people tell me they like a movie because it's "so bad it's good or funny". This is not one of those movies. This movie is freakingly hilarious! So many funny, crazy and off the wall scenes that I loved it. The scene with the limbs hacking on Skull Island is funny as hell. The dinner scene when his moms ear falls in the custard and the old guy is eating his custard that her puss flew in just killed me. The priest was cool and funny as hell. Plus the guy that played Lional was perfect in the role and funny as the mommas boy. Perfect cult classic movie for all the right reasons.

Wow! I can't believe what I'm reading. This has to be one of the most well-crafted horror films. It's a filmmaker's dream.

How can you not love a movie that has a priest fighting zombies and saying "I kick arse for the Lord"? While fighting zombies?

You just don't get it. It's made like this out to be over-the-top-f-you-in-the-face-so-you-laugh-so-hard-your-d-falls-off. It's estethics, not poor craftmanship

Didnt think this was gonna be my type of movie, now its one of my favourites. Brilliantly over the top and ridiculously cheesy ha wats not to like. And the practical effects in this film are what real filmmaking is all about. peter j ya legend
