I just watched this movie for the first time (No, I'm not very young, I just kept passing this one up for no particular reason).

The first 30 minutes of the movie, I was agreeing with the OP. A little bit of gore here n there, horrible acting, nothing special, etc. etc.

And then:

Paquita: "YOUR MOM ATE MY DOG!"
Lionel: "Not all of it"

HAH! From that scene til the end of the movie, it's nothing but a roller coaster of some of the most creative, funny as hell, gore-filled zombie kills I've ever seen in any movie.

Decapitated zombie with lawn gnome sticking out of open neck hole = my favorite.
Also, ending a zombie party with a lawnmower = classic.
