The guy playing Nog is a terrible actor.

This guy is unaware of acting subtly. He always speaks likes he's angry at everything.

The actor has featured in a fair amount of different shows/movies.

This is how his character was suppose to be did you even bother to watch the show fully or just dropped in for odd episode?

reply

I'm midway through season 3.

He might grow on you. I found his acting amusing. There is a shift at some point maybe halfway through the show where he noticably improves.

reply

I'm hoping. His acting is just so stiff.

In other words, the character grows; which is a good thing in a dramatic series.

I thought he was playing an over the top and overeager teen-ager. The actor didn't have anything to base his performance on. I mean, there were no other teen Ferengis in Trek up to that point.

The actor seemed, at least to me, that he was doing his version of how a young Ferengi would behave. He also wanted to be friends with Jake Sisko and having a human friend was a new experience for him too. He didn't know how to act around humans.

Aron Eisenberg was an EXCELLENT actor!!!

He's better in the later on seasons. In the episode where he comes back from the academy and is depressed, I was surprised with his performance.
