Another reason why both Miklo and Magic had Montana killed was the fact that if La Onda joined forces with the BGA in order to take out the AV'ers, it was only going to make the mayates(BGA)stronger once the AV'ers were out of power and possibly that the BGA would eventually turn on La Onda afterwards. That's something that Magic tells Miklo after their meeting with Bonafide and that fat member of the BGA. And even Carlos brings that up at his last meeting with the La Onda council when he tells Montana "why do you want to unite with those mayates?" So, both Miklo and Magic had to take Montana out in order to make La Onda stronger by consolidating their power by destroying both the AV'ers and the BGA(even if it meant uniting with the BGA temporarily).
