Does anyone believe in aliens?

Are we the only beings in space? I think other beings are out there. Space is infinite.

I believe there are intelligent beings who have figured out how to traverse the space/time continuum, but I don't think they would waste any time trying to interact with biomass beings such as ourselves. They also don't look like "little green men" or even remotely anamorphic. They have probably discovered ways to immortalize their consciousness in the form of light energy. They've evolved beyond emotion which is what human behavior is still dependent on.

I believe in aliens but to exactly what form of life they may be from world to world is anybody's guess. Would there be any comprehension of their intelligence or would they comprehend ours? Would they be evolved enough to be societal and have more than basic emotion? Would their state of evolution put them at a point where they could comprehend mathematics and science or are they hunters/ gatherers? Star Trek and Star Wars is science fiction on a budget and aimed at a wide audience to make a profit. Most likely the public on Earth will be sorely disappointed when we start to confirm the existence of life higher than a micro-organism.

If you mean aliens in general, yes. If you mean alien visitors to Earth, no.

The wording in your question isn't well-chosen. The term "believe in" usually implies a religious or spiritual aspect of the question, and the concept of intelligent beings living on other worlds is not a religious one. You either think they exist, or you don't. It's not a matter of "believing in" their existence.

I think it's very possible, considering how old the universe is, that there are intelligent beings out there, but there's no way to prove it right now.

reply

No. But its easy to trick people into believing there is. This is pure propaganda and its also boring and generally a bad film.

Anything from single cell organisms to intelligent life.

The universe is so big, with so many billions of stars and planets similar to earth. They found water on Mars, so water will be on billions of other planets.

It's not a stretch to believe that life will be on other planets in some form or other. Microorganisms, plants, to intelligent life.

The size of the universe is where the next problem lies. Everything is just too far away from each other to make contact, let alone drive over for a visit.

Maybe a few close to each other have made contact.

The hardest part is not destroying ourselves before we can get off the planet and start expanding and exploring. Then how long after that would it take to reach another species that have accomplished the same massive feat.

The universe is too big not to have life on other planets, but too big for us to find it any time soon.

I believe other living organisms exist in the universe. Are they intelligent, well, we haven't found anything yet that I know of so there is no way to know. But there is life out there. The universe is awfully big, making it quite egocentric to think we are the only living organisms in it. If I had to bet, I would bet not only is there life out there, but intelligent life as well. But I don't think we need to worry about it. The distances are so vast.
