I cant think of a film where she looked better. Except maybe that one where she is on the phone the whole movie. She was milfy hot in that one.
She looked the best in No Mercy. Final Analysis. The Marrying Man.
But my favorite was Fool For Love.
I think she was at the prime of her beauty in Batman, especially at the charity event at Wayne Manor, where she's wearing that princess/debutante white dress. Her hair and face are perfect.
Funnily enough, I just watched a film called Hard Country, via YouTube, which is her movie debut. She's one of the leads, and she's actually really good in it (she probably gives the best performance in the film). It's not one of her most glamorous roles, so I wouldn't say she looks her best here, although she does look great, as one might expect from 1980s Basinger. She also looks great in another 1981 project, a TV movie called Killjoy, where she plays the spoiled rich daughter of a hospital chairman, caught up in a whodunnit murder story.

Yup classic and great actress. I would say she was at her prime any time she was with Richard Gere on Screen. Lots of chemistry between those two. Shes top tier for her generation though. A Truly classic actress. I put her below Sigourney Weaver in terms of on screen presence (Sigourney is Tops) but Basinger ahs always been very strong and could easily hold the screen against some truly great actors.
These days we really have no Weavers or even Basinger's. Naomi Watts can come close at times but I have not seen her in a while. Kerri Russel has also put in some strong performances but she never seems to be able to catch a break. She was good in Antlers but that film was a mess. Dark Skies she was excellent as well as her show "Americans". She steals ever scene she is in with Tom Cruise in MI-3 and thats abnormal. Best I ever saw Naomi Watts was in a psychological thriller called "Funny Games" but its such an oddity type film hardly anyone has ever scene it. She was Academy Award worthy in that film.. career performance maybe. Awards are a joke in these current times though.
Basinger started messing with her face but I think she got it under control after regretting it. Last I saw of her she was older of course but still beautiful. Even more so than Sigourney but Sigourney has a level of charisma that Basinger doesnt.. which is mainly why Sigourney often could take the lead role in films all by herself. Very rare for a female actor. Basinger was no slouch either though.
