Films similar to Kiss Kiss Bang Bang... suggestions?

I thoroughly enjoyed this film and was looking for other films which also featured great characters, had an interesting/unique plot with twists that would surprise me, and finishes with a satisfying ending.

One other film that, off the top of my head, I think comes close is "Lucky Number Slevin". Both have that combination of really good actors who are given great dialogue combined with a VERY compelling story that has twists and turns you don't see coming. While both KKBB and Slevin have some violence, it isn't overly graphic, glorified or comes at the expense of the plot.

Any suggestions?

And please, no mentions of any Tarantino films.

While watching KKBB I was reminded of something but I couldn't for the life of me remember what it was! Some type of film noir though, even though this wasn't complete noir (or at least I don't think it was shot like that?) it reminded me of that. I'm afraid the only other film I could remember it reminding me of was "Lucky Number Slevin" but you've already realised that - kind of cool we thought the same thing. Anyway if I remember what it reminded me of I'll post here lol.

Perhaps someone has already recommended this but The Big Sleep is a great old flick which obviously heavily influenced KKBB. In fact I've read all but two or three of Chandler's books and they're all good.

Though not extremely similar, you should check out Brick with Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Another mystery type

I Don't know why, but while watching this flick i thougth about "Kick-Ass". Anyway both of this movies are my favorite Action-Comedy movies.
